Reasons Why It Would Be a Good Idea To Book Your Flights to Lanzarote Now

If you want to experience a truly fantastic Spanish holiday, you can have one on the remarkable island of Lanazarote. One of the seven major islands that make up the famous Canary Islands Holiday destination you will find that Flights to Lanzarote are never a problem.

As of today, there are over 30 airlines that operate international direct flights to the island, companies such as British Airways and Cathay Pacific have daily direct Flights to Lanzarote from virtually anywhere in the UK. Other airlines operate both charter and scheduled flights from most major European airports. There are also locally owned airlines in Lanzarote that have direct international flights, and you can book with Binter, Spainair, Canarias and Iberia. You can avail of the advantages of the best deals offered by many airlines flying into Lanzarote and enjoy discounts and freebies.

Most international flights to Lanzarote from the UK or the US usually take four to five hours. If you are in Madrid, it will only take you two and a quarter hours to reach Lanzarote.

The airport in Lanzarote is the “Air Arrecife” or “Guacimeta”, as the locales call it; and is conveniently located in between Arrecife, the island capital and Puerto Del Carmen, which is another famous tourist town. You can already feel the tropical holiday ambiance as you stepped down from the plane, yet in a modern way because the airport itself is quite new. There are quite a number of bars and restaurants and other modern amenities you might need early in your visit, things like automated teller machines or ATM and Foreign Exchange retailers as well as many other shops. The shops here open as early as 7am and don’t close until 10:00 late night.

Taxi and car rentals are almost an extension in the airport of Lanzarote. Riding in a taxi, you can reach Costa Teguise, (the islands former capital and best loved tourist town), within twenty minutes, and will only cost you about 20 Euros. It will still be about 20 Euros that you will need to get into Puerto Del Carmen, a famous island resort; while you will need 40 Euros to reach Playa Blanca; (the islands southern most town and fastest growing tourist resort), in just 45 minutes.

Since the “Canary Islands” is a geographically varied archipelago, you need to hop across to every island to experience the whole of the Canaries. But that is not a problem, each island has an airport and a seaport so they are very accessible by plane and ferries. There are also any number of hotels, villas and inns on every island so you won’t need to worry about accommodation if you decide to stay over on any of the other islands.

Regarding Lanzarote, it is a very beautiful island complete with wonderful beaches and amazing volcanic landscapes. Just a few of my favourite places are the Timanfaya National Park which has a wonderful nature display and also the Castillo de San Gabriel, LA Cueva delos Verdes, or the Green Cave and many of the strange but attractive volcanic landscapes.

So get on line now and book your Flights to Lanzarote and look forward to experiencing a truly wonderful vacation holiday to Lanzarote.

The brilliance of the Canary Islands Holidays is that they are able to cater for all ages and of all lifestyles. And that they are able to do it all year round due to the idillic weather.

Canary Island Hopping

Ah, a trip to the Canary Islands. What a dream of a vacation. An advantage is that you can plan your trip nearly any time of year because the climate is fairly predictable. Of course, your budget and time allowance will determine the specifics of your journey.

For starters, if you plan to visit more than one Canary Island, it’s best to pick one place to land and depart. Make cheap flight arrangements from your home to one of the islands then take ferries to all the other islands.

Most travel packages provide airfare, hotel accommodations and ground transportation. If you can find a bundle of all three at a bargain rate, go for it! We’ve found great deals on both Travelocity and Kayak but we know many of the travel sites offer the same kinds of discount packaging.

All of the islands have airports but Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Tenerife and La Palma are the islands accommodating international travel. You will be able to fly to and from any of the islands. Binter Canarias and Islas Airways are two local airlines. They charge approximately the same as the ferries do to transport you to other islands. You can expect to pay approximately €60 per trip for adults. Naviera Armas, Fred Olsen and Acciona Trasmediterranea are three prominent ferry operators.

We suggest you start and end your trip in Lanzarote, the northeastern most island. From Playa Blanca in Lanzarote, you can fly or ferry to Isla de Lobos on Fuerteventura. Spend the day touring the natural parks in Fuerteventura and make your way to the southern point of the island in order to depart from Morro Jable. From Morro Jable, you can fly or ferry to Las Palamas de Gran Canaria.

There is so much to see in Gran Canaria. Touring the volcano crater, stunning beaches, captivating sand dunes and many cultural museums will keep you busy for a day or two. Make your way to Puerto de las Nievas and hop over to Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. There is a wide range of activity you can do on Tenerife including architectural tours, hiking, beaches, tropical forest walks, and vibrant night life. From Tenerife, you have many choices. We recommend hopping from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Santa Cruz de la Palma. There is much to do on La Palma including tours to cave dwellings and breathtaking walks around volcanoes.

Get back to Santa Cruz de la Palma and hop to La Gomera. It’s not a large island and their beaches are magnificent. Rest, relax, enjoy. From San Sebastian de la Gomera, hop to El Hierro, the tiniest of the Canary Islands. If you have a full day to spend on La Gomera, you can take a magnificent walk on the Camino de la Virgen trail which will give you an outstanding exposure to the entire island.

From El Hierro, you can head back to your base camp on Lanzarote or swing over to Tenerife where the airport can send you back home.

If you follow this itinerary, you will have successfully been a Canary Island hopper in the grandest style.

Reasons That Makes a Canary Island Holidays Unique Among Other Holiday Destinations

Why would you be interested in Cheap Holidays Canary Islands Style? Let me explain in a few short paragraphs what makes Canary Islands Holidays so great and unique that you will want to stay as long as possible. Any money saved by finding Cheap Holidays to Canary islands can be spent on extending your stay.

The Canary Islands or “Islas Canarias” in Spanish, is an archipelago of seven large islands, a small island and many smaller islets. All these islands were formed through a series of ancient volcanic eruptions and rise directly from the ocean floor. The archipelago or group of islands is located in the North Atlantic just off the coast of North Western Africa from where they derive most of their warm weather. The group of islands forms the autonomous community of the Canary Islands even though they are part of Spain, there are two capital cities, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, Spanish is the main language.

The weather here is subtropical and is moderated by the surrounding ocean, making it one of the best holiday climates in the world. This wonderful climate has helped make the Canaries one of the most favored destinations among European holiday makers. With almost every day being perfect for a great day out in the sun, you can enjoy the beaches and any other activities you can think of. So if you are looking for a holiday destination for either a summer or a winter vacation getaway, this is surely the perfect place to be.

Every year, the number of tourists visiting the islands reaches over eight million, and the numbers continue to rise. Most of these tourists come from European cities, all wanting to have a wonderful time either enjoying sports, taking tours, taking part in recreational activities or simply lazing on sandy beaches under the sun. Most come during the cold European winter and they thoroughly enjoy the warm balmy weather which is a feature of the canaries. The others come for short trips around the Christmas school holiday breaks. Most leave to go home wishing that they had stayed longer, and that is why you want to find a Cheap Holidays Canary Islands, so you can stay longer.

Of course its not all just enjoying the sunshine, it would also be great if you will assign a day or two to explore the islands natural wonders and national parks. Gran Canaria has a very diverse culture, from European, African and American descendants, which further gave the island more amazing features such as some unique ways of farming, fishing and some very interesting architecture.

As gastronomical point, I highly recommend you to try the local fish served fresh daily, the plantain bananas, the Papas Arrogates (potatoes boiled in very salty water) with a complementing Mojo Picon (spicy cold red sauce made from chilli and garlic). You should also try their Gofio (Grain Flour), Miel de Palma (Palm Honey), Arepas (tortillas) and Gofio Amasado for dessert (made from Gofio, palm honey and plantain).

One important thing that you should remember when planning to have a Cheap Holidays Canary vacation in Gran Canaria, is to book your vacation as early as possible.

In peak seasons like Christmas Holidays, most of the best hotels and villas and even popular flights are sold out quickly, so better book yourself as early possible. This way, you will have more options to choose from, more choices of where to stay and even greater availability of discounts and privileges.

Booking on line is a good idea as most online travel tour operators have lower fixed costs, and usually offer better tour prices. As for me, I would prefer to rent a villa than a hotel when planning Cheap Holidays Canary Islands, and you may consider this option, especially if you are travelling as a group. Booking your flights and accommodation a few months before travel can save you up to 80% off the full retail list price.
